Otaku Expo 2013

The first major anime convention of the year. Held last January 26, 2013. I know that’s late, you can blame school for that.

While Ruo left for Japan, I had to stay behind and keep watch on our currently unofficial school anime club.

After meeting up with the initial 2 members of the group. We headed straight to the line.

Really empty right? Well that’s only the empty megatrade hall beside the convention. They opened it up to accommodate the long line. Once I entered the main event I first went to the usual area.

Kyuubey is there waiting for unsuspecting girls to make a contract with him.

Madokami was there. Ready to protect the event from evil witches and to save my wallet.

I forgot to change the white balance settings of the first photos which explains the blueish color.OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Not really a fan of Sheryl, I’m more of a Ranka fan. Too bad my photo of her was obliterated by my shaky hands 😦P1269460

Some gunpla for a change. I was in a hurry at this point which is why I wasn’t able to take their individual  pictures.

I wasn’t able to take as many photos as before since I frequently had to regroup with the other 5 members.

My wallet was able to survive from two rounds of the Maid Cafe. Meaning I could still pay my upcoming figures. 2013 will be a bad year for my wallet.

By some divine blessing (maybe the presence of Madokami) I was able to leave the convention about one hour before chaos arrived due to some jewelry store robbery. Luckily no one was hurt by said incident

That ends my coverage of the 1st major anime convention of 2013. I might be doing the coverage of the Ozine Fest 2013 this April. So that’s it for now.
